Who has had the pleasure of spending the holidays in San Gimignano or just to visit it, you will have noticed the gentle hills that surround it. The farm Torre Prima is situated on one of these hills, almost touching the famous Towers.
In keeping with Tuscan tradition, also Torre Prima holds a mysterious story and it is not easy to establish the true age.
There are already news of the farm in 1823, year of establishment of the first land registry; some sources cite the presence of Duke Amedeo of Aosta at Torre Prima around 1867. It is said that he loved to spend much of his free time devoted to hunting. Surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, ancient oaks and junipers, still the hunting cabin retains the charm of yesteryear.
The Pollina family, emigrated from Sicily, bought the cottage and a part of its land in 1970. By investing time and effort, in addition to addressing hard sacrifices, restructure the old animal barns and sheds; thereafter manage to enlarge the property, until in 1996 the farm Torre Prima evolves into a beautiful farmhouse in the heart of Chianti.
